We are currently seeking a Technician IV to work 1st shift, onsite, at our plant in Tempe, AZ supporting the Diabetes Process Development team. 

A Day in the Life

In this position, you will support development and production of laser systems and laser-based technologies used in the Diabetes processes.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Sustain, characterize, and qualify laser systems used in Diabetes processes

  • Perform laser beam alignment, laser calibration and power output verification

  • Assist with process development activities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve system and laser-based issues

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance

  • Perform equipment qualification (installation/qualification), test method validation, and documentation updates

  • Meet operational attainment of Safety, Quality, and Service goals

  • Perform duties in compliance with environmental, health and safety related site rules, policies, or governmental regulations

  • Identify and work to remove barriers that slow or prevent the successful completion of projects

Must Have – Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Minimum of 8 years related technical experience 

Nice to Have

  • Associate of Science Degree in a related discipline

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Material Science, or similar technical discipline

  • Direct manufacturing experience with lasers/laser based equipment or similar work experience

  • Direct experience qualifying and sustaining laser based process technologies, with relevant experience with process characterization, design of experiments, equipment qualification, statistical process control, and data analysis methodologies

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills

  • Demonstrated experience working in a highly cross-linked technical work environment

  • Mindset of teamwork and collaboration

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
