POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Brain Modulation business is going through an exciting time of rapid innovation and revenue growth. The business has recently commercialized cutting-edge platform technologies and is looking to capitalize on these platform technologies to advance the next gen disruptive, transformative innovations. As these new innovations are commercialized, it is increasingly business critical to manage our product portfolio in a way that provides seamless business continuity, maximizes the total business impact, and brings these innovations to our patients and customers around our international markets.

We are looking for a driven and dynamic Sr. Marketing Manager for our Brain Modulation business in our international marketing team. You will be responsible for developing and executing our marketing plan to support both our Deep Brain Stimulations (DBS) and Visualase businesses based on customer insights, for identifying specific marketing tactics in the plan and for directing the execution of that plan through your therapy team direct reports and other cross-functional partners. You will lead competitive product positioning, maximizing brand equity and increasing therapy awareness through promotion, clinical messaging, and many other marketing vehicles.

In your role, you will report directly to the Sr Marketing Director of our International Markets, be a member of the international marketing leadership team, and lead our international product marketing and market development team for Brain Modulation.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

§ Identify key issues facing your business and develop an annual marketing plan to address those issues.

§ Establish competitive marketing strategies to ensure a market leading position for Medtronic against traditional competitors as well as indirect competitors.

§ Partner with global marketing to ensure regional portfolio strategy and product development plans aligns with global plans.

§ Represent regional needs (voice of customers) with global R&D and upstream marketing teams.

§ Prepare, execute, and track product launches across our international markets.

§ Develop regional pricing strategy in collaboration with local pricing teams that align with overall business goals and market positioning.

§ Contribute to Brain Modulation and Global Business Team through various activities.

§ Lead cross-functional teams (sales, marcom, operations, sales training, medical education, regulatory, clinical, etc.) to ensure alignment on market strategies, tactics, and messaging.

§ Direct the hiring, training and performance evaluations of marketing team members and oversee their daily activities.

§ Initiate market research studies and analyze their findings as necessary.

§ Identify big new ideas to drive brand and category growth including market development strategies and initiatives.

§ Build partnerships with customers and stakeholders to drive growth for the business, customers, and therapies.

§ Partner with Operations to ensure continuous product availability and Quality on deployment of any field corrective actions (FCAs).

§ Partner with the Brain Modulation and Neuromodulation leaders to support the implementation and execution of our Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes.

§ Provide inputs to finance teams for Annual Operating Plan (AOP).

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

§ Minimum of 13 years of prior marketing experience

§ MBA or equivalent masters degree.

§ Track record of driving results in product marketing and/or market development capacities.

§ Demonstrated achievement of business and marketing goals.

§ Demonstrated ability to lead people, directly and by influence and achieve results through others.

§ Strong Project Management skills, organized and detailed oriented; know how to manage multiple priorities and projects with short timelines.

§ Highly effective verbal communication skills.

§ Willing to travel internationally.
