A Day in the Life

As the Laboratory Coordinator III , your role revolves around supporting the day-to-day operations of the Santa Rosa Chemistry department. You will be primarily responsible for aiding the chemistry team in various tasks, including sample management, supply chain coordination, data management, customer interactions, document control, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives. This role is integral to the chemistry organization's adherence to ISO17025, GLP, and GMP Quality Management Systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support procurement, reception, registration, and inventory management of laboratory supplies and reference materials.

  • Coordinate laboratory metrology activities, including calibration management.

  • Assist in managing contract lab testing processes, from sample submission to report receipt.

  • Handle lab quality system tasks, such as document control and record scanning.

  • Coordinate Environment Health and Safety waste disposal.

  • Assist department personnel with meeting scheduling and travel arrangements.

  • Perform general lab duties, including cleaning and stocking labware.

  • Manage the sample submission process, including triaging requests, registration, staging work, and providing progress updates to clients.

  • Ensure adherence to procedures, departmental policies, and regulatory requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Nice to Have:

Additionally, the following skills and qualifications are desirable:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction with clients, lab personnel, and other departments.

  • Self-motivation, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

  • Prioritization and execution of daily tasks.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Experience in supporting administrative and project activities in a laboratory setting.

  • Familiarity with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), order processing applications like Aribia, and Microsoft SharePoint.

  • Oversight experience in a metrology program.

  • Involvement in continuous improvement projects, including Lean Sigma or Six Sigma.

  • Understanding of cGMP, GLP, ISO17025, FDA, and ICH requirements.

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply to others).
