A Day in the Life

The Product Development Project Specialist is responsible to managing submission and release of program documentation. This role will work closely with PMO leadership and team to ensure program design and project documentation is released in the Document Management System in accordance with internal procedures. Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:

· Responsible for processing programs change orders, ranging from simple-to-complex, for the creation and revision of product, process, and system designs.

· Reviews and analyzes change data provided by core team and facilitates coordination of changes with applicable stakeholders, including engineering, quality, manufacturing, operations and regulatory.

· Manages the change order process and prepares for change approvals by stakeholders.

· Ensures customer requirements are implemented while maintaining compliance to applicable policies, procedures, regulations, and standards.

· Works closely with program leader and team members to prioritize documentation release and management from initiate to final approval/release.

· Works closely with Document Control partners to ensure timely review and processing of documentation workflows to minimize first time return errors and ensure expedited release.

· Prepares and maintains program documentation change management tracker and metric providing team with visibility into document review and release status, highlighting and supporting team to eliminate document review delays.

· Assists Core Team Leader in maintaining program Design History File.

· As needed, assist Core Team Leader with providing lower-level program support, such as tracking phase gate deliverables, build requests, etc.

· Functional Skills: Change Control, Document Management, Compliance, Product Lifecycle Management, Electronic Document Management Systems, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Systems.

· Additional Skills: Problem Solving, Detail Oriented, Cross-Functional Collaboration, Customer Service, Process Improvement, Communication.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree required and 2 years of project management and/or document management experience, or advanced degree with no experience.

Nice to Have

· Strong analytical/problem solving skills in a team environment.

· Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and non-verbal; expert active listening skills with a keen awareness for various messaging styles; and polished ability to tailor delivery to a broad range of audiences.

· Exceptional influencing and interpersonal skills, negotiating; managing change; goal setting; planning and organizing teamwork; ability to address difficult situations; conflict resolution; resource constraint and problem solving.

· Prior work experience in a regulated industry (medical device, pharma, aerospace, defense).

· Attention to detail and accuracy and ability to manage multiple tasks.

· Develops solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity.

· A background in document management processing is highly desirable.

· Experience across the entire product lifecycle.

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
