Medtronic Principal PACE Specialist in Lafayette, Colorado

Principal Professional Affairs & Clinical Education (PACE) Specialist – Surgical

The Principal PACE Specialist will be supporting the U.S. Surgical business. The Principal Specialist works closely with Surgical stakeholders and PACE Operations to actively manage the PACE investment in a targeted specialty area; develop and execute customized training and education programs; manage faculty, key influencers, and society professional relationships in support of PACE activities. The role will be responsible for working with internal stakeholders to align on Surgical PACE specialty, execution plans, and performance metrics. The Principal Specialist will work closely with key influencers, faculty, societies, and Medical Directors to determine critical strategies and initiatives to deliver targeted medical education and training to support safety and efficacy, and business growth drivers.

Location: Remote within the U.S. / around 20% travel

A Day in the Life

  • Facilitates customized training and education programs for Medical and Academic Professionals on diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, to increase procedural, technology and product adoption to improve patient outcomes.

  • Participates in conventions, forums, symposia educational content and scientific education programming meetings for promoting product and procedural awareness.

  • Facilitates the creation of educational content in partnership with internal and external experts and stakeholders.

  • Conducts/ Facilitates physician led education and consulting, supports establishment and maintenance of customer relations with clinicians and organizations.

  • Additional tasks as assigned

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree with 7+ years of experience in medical education, sales, or clinical

OR

  • An advanced degree with 5+ years of experience in medical education, sales, or clinical

Nice to Have

  • Medical device or regulated industry experience

  • Subject Matter Expertise or significant experience working with surgeons

  • Key Opinion Leader (KOL) or physician relationship management experience

  • Curriculum design and execution experience (medical field, surgery preferred)

  • Operating Room (OR) experience

  • Hands-on medical education, dry/wet lab experience

  • Knowledge of adult learning theory

  • Project management experience

  • Experience with medical societies relations or administration

  • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, listening) with all levels of the organization

The provided base salary range is used nationally (except in certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
