A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Plans, directs, and implements Medtronic Molding and Capital Tooling injection molding qualifications at external suppliers.

  • Owns ALL Qualification activities related to project lifecycle phases of Qualification at Suppliers.

  • Engages daily with Medtronic cross-functional teams (RPE, DQE, SQE), supplier engineering team and program managers to drive business deliverables.

  • Develops and implements strategies related to tooling replacements at molding suppliers.

  • Drives adherence to aligned upon goals and metrics

  • Actively promotes individual and team development activities.

  • Manages a large team of engineers positioned globally that interacts with multiple suppliers.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree required

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience

Nice to Have

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in regulated manufacturing environments

  • Proven leadership experience organizing and directing multiple teams, delegating tasks and responsibilities in a global environment

  • Proven experience with Injection Molding processes, including material resin selection, Qualification, and commercialization of plastic molded components.

  • Proficient communicator to engage in technical discussions and achieve business requirements in global environments

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills in English/Spanish.

  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

  • Solid knowledge of Mold Tooling Projects, and Manufacturing processes.
