The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II position is part of the AME department that is responsible for developing and qualifying manufacturing lines for new medical products. The Advanced Manufacturing Engineer II is expected to have the appropriate experience in manufacturing process development.
A Day in the Life:
Support the development of manufacturing equipment
Define design requirements and participate in design reviews
Prototype and test designs throughout the development process
Support product design engineers with prototype builds
Participate in manufacturing planning and analysis activities
Partner with outside suppliers to develop production equipment
Support qualification and manufacturing launch activities
Bachelors Degree required with 2+ years of experience or Advanced Degree with 0+ years of experience.
Nice to Have:
BS Mechanical Engineering
2+ years manufacturing engineering experience, preferably in the medical device industry
Strong mechanical aptitude exposure to manufacturing equipment design/development is helpful.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Product design and development experience
Validation and process development experience
CAD software experience (PTC Creo / SolidWorks)
