A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

  • Design and develop interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports using Tableau and Power BI.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to gather and understand business requirements, and translate them into effective visualizations.

  • Perform data analysis and profiling to ensure data quality and integrity.

  • Implement security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.

  • Optimize the performance of reports and dashboards, including tuning queries and designing efficient data models.

  • Create different views and perspectives of data to support various business needs and user requirements.

  • Collaborate with data engineers and other team members to ensure seamless integration of visualizations with data sources.

  • Both an individual and a good team player.

  • Willing to work in support environment too.

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field;

  • 9+ years of experience in data visualization using Tableau and/or Power BI.

  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT processes.

  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data platforms.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex ideas to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Experience in handling security requirements for data visualization solutions.

  • Proven track record of performance tuning reports and optimizing query performance.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
